This week on the Intermission Podcast, facts are stated, challenges are issued, and scores are tallied. Guy and and Craig argue about who is the best television service provider, and the conversation somehow digresses into the Movieguys possibly getting tattoos on the show. Craig tells everyone about his trip to Carowinds and their impossibly rude staff and the rest of the crew go on a man-date. Movies -past, present, and future- are talked about and finally the preliminary score of the infamous Movieguys BattleBots Fantasy League is added up. I’m excited just thinking about it…
Dish v. Direct; Craig v. Guy
Apparently Guy King believes that Directv is better than Dish Network. If he wants to be wrong, that’s his prerogative, but when he inflicts his poorly founded opinions on others Craig must put him in his place. The argument is full of misquoted facts and google proving people (Guy) wrong. The conversation devolves somehow into the Movieguys encouraging one another into getting tattoos live on the show. Guy thinks that he should get a ninja turtle eating pizza.
Craig’s Carowinds Experience
Craig crosses the Mason Dixon to visit Carowinds! At only 100 degrees, surprisingly there were no lines. Craig rides coasters, and then discusses them and yells at Guy. The park focused more on the water part then the coaster part, but it was 100 degrees. The workers were total jerks but then again they did have to deal with Craig, so… Craig told one human five times what to put in his cup, and the human didn’t listen. The park sits on the border of North and South Carolina, so if the security guards chase you, you just have to cross the border. And Craig gets gangstered by a 10 year old.
Independence Day Sequel and Guy Changes His Mind
When ¾’s of the Movieguys were supposed to be watching BattleBots, they went on a man-date at the Silver Screens 7. They saw some movie called Independence Day but there was somebody that talked so that sucked. Guy loved it more than the first one, but everyone else thought it didn’t quite live up to the original so Guy changed his mind and explained in depth why. Guy said that if he could change one thing about it, the aliens should have been more unexpected, because that’s reasonable. Josh believed that there were too many characters and most of them were poorly acted, and Corey believes that it was poorly scripted, so Guy reiterated what they said. And Guy says more stupid things and risks being fired by Boss-man Craig. Either Josh projected gay sex into the movie or Guy blacked it out from his memory, and Josh and Guy reflect on their fond memories of the Rosie O’Donnell Show. Screw them.
Other Movies Watched
Craig re-watches 310 to Yuma, and doesn’t believe it holds up. This depresses Corey and makes Guy mad even though he didn’t watch it. Guy watches a movie with a girl in it and Josh watches the Intern.
BattleBots Fantasy League Round 1
BattleBots premered!! There were some good fights, some bad, and then there was Obwalden Overlord. Overlord is a cool albeit complicated bot, that was totally unequipped to fight anything. It was operated by twine. With a crowbar for a weapon and a piece of plastic for a shield and was burned alive by Warhead. Disco Inferno had an amazing show though was cheated by the judges but will hopefully get the wildcard. Complete Control didn’t suck, surprisingly. Their minibot was quite the trickster and they burned their enemy to the ground. So the fantasy league results are in… Drum roll…. Craig first, Guy second, Josh third, Corey last.
Best 2018 Movies
Craig is scared of his movie then changes his pick, and Guy is overwhelmed by choices. Josh picks a book, and Guy calls him stupid…and Corey wants to see people drown!
Craig: Jurassic World Sequel Wreck it Ralph 2
Josh: Ready Player One
Guy: Avengers: Infinity War Part One
Corey: Aquaman
