It’s that time of year again. No, not that. Not that either. That’s right, it’s time for me to watch the one football game I will watch all year! Not because I care about the game, but this is arguably the biggest day for movie trailers outside of SDCC (San Diego Comic-Con). For me, it is a fun tradition to watch and recap the trailers as they air, and you get the added benefit of seeing them all in one place when you are trying to watch them at work tomorrow. Without further adieu, I present to you the trailers, and my thoughts if I have any, for all of the Super Bowl movie trailers 2018.
Super Bowl Movie Trailers 2018
A usual, many of the 2018 Super Bowl Trailers have already been released online. I have actively avoided any that have been pre-released, and also avoided any of the “teasers” to hype the actual trailer. Who started that trend anyway? Producing a trailer, to promote a trailer? I don’t know about you, but this guy isn’t having it.

I am really digging Chris Pratt in the Jurassic World series and Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom looks no different. Chris Pratt is back with his trusty pet raptor. Overall, I think it looks pretty solid but I still dislike some of the new techs. The glass ball things are just kind of lame, but one could argue that the Ford Explorers on a track in the original trilogy were equally as lame.

Han Solo Movie Super Bowl Trailer

HOLY CRAP! Did you guys see that? Tell me you just saw that! That ladies and gentleman was the trailer for the new Han Solo spinoff titled Solo: A Star Wars Story. It is also the first footage we have seen, which is surprising given the Memorial Day release date.
It is no secret here at Movie Guys HQ that I have enjoyed the spinoffs (aka Rogue One) more than I have the new Star Wars Trilogy. The Han Solo movie looks no different. I am really excited to see how Han Solo came to be.

Meh. I like Dwayne Johnson as an actor, but I am not too keen on Skyscraper. I guess I will have to see more than a teaser to cast my final judgement.
Mission Impossible Fallout Super Bowl Trailer

I’m not sure how this will be different from other Mission Impossibles, but here it is, Mission Impossible Fallout. Essentially, it looks like more of the same, and they have even found a way to make Tom Cruise look much younger than he actually does.

Full disclosure, when I first heard of Danny McBride staring in a Crocodile Dundee reboot, I HATED it. Now that I have seen him in action though, I think I have changed my mind. I really like his style of humor and it actually fits the franchise well. I am still skeptical though, does McBride really belong in a Crocodile Dundee movie?
