This week on episode 125 of the Intermission Podcast, the question is answered: Can any one person taste the difference between Crystal Pepsi and the original? If anyone can, it is the Movieguys very own, the one and only, Guy King. Listen as he takes on The Crystal Pepsi Challenge. This is going to be a very burpy episode.
The Crystal Pepsi Challenge
The show starts off with the Crystal Pepsi challenge, which was issued the very day of the release of the throwback drink. Craig held that they were the same drink, one just without the coloring, but Guy knew better, as usual. Two samples, three trials, and a little trickery later, Guy King still came out on top, guessing no, knowing, all the correct answers. This started a downhill spiral for Craig, ending with him jumping in front of a Pepsi truck. Sadly, he will not be joining for another until he makes a full recovery and learns how to cope with the wheelchair.
After that, Josh get’s an idea, and is maybe going to execute it. Guy questions said idea, then gets his own. Then the show turns into hard-core pizza talk, and the Movieguys come up with an idea for a new podcast. Every month, the Movieguys will get a pizza, and talk about pizza, while eating the pizza! It’s genius. Hopefully it will actually happen and not just get promised to happen but never does, *cough cough* righteous plunger.
War Dogs
Guy and Josh go on a man-date to see War Dogs at the Silver Screens 7. They enjoyed it, and each other… Then they get into a disagreement over how much the dudes “ran guns”. Now to the thumb thing… Josh gives it one thumb up for being a good movie, though a little long. Guy also give the good ol’ one thumber for being good, but not awesome, for a total of two out of four thumbs up.
Dirty Grandpa and the race wars of Zootopia
Craig watched Dirty Grandpa and he mistakenly watched the theatrical DVD release instead of the unrated blu ray version. After the debacle, he still enjoyed the movie. It gets one solid thumb up from Craig. He also watched Zootopia and it turns out it about racism. It was still a good movie though being very “preachy” and it wasn’t really a kids movie. And Wall-E gets two thumbs up. Oh Zootopia, it gets one. Then Josh explains the thumb system to Guy again. Craig also watched a documentary about cola coal miners, and Guy talks about October Sky because it’s the same thing. Then Josh explains reality to Guy.
Pizza and a Movie
Back to pizza: Craig has a plan to only eat pizza for a month straight. This leads to a long discussion about the logistics of the whole ordeal. Apparently one can lose up to 1000 pounds doing this according to the interwebs, now Craig will finally shed that extra half ton he’s been working on for the past few months now. This circles back to another long and pointless discussion about pizza, now the Pizza Talk Monthly is definitely happening. Or will it be called Pizza and a Movie? Yeah, let’s go with that.
