As you all should be able to tell by now, I’m a sucker for a good space alien flick. Well here’s the latest that’s caught my eye. Battle: Los Angeles is the newest film from director Jonathan Liebsman, best known for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. Here is the Battle Los Angeles Trailer:
I was checking out battlela.com and one of the photos in the intro caught my eye.
I knew I had seen this picture somewhere before. Turns out there is a true story behind it. This is an actual photo from Los Angeles in 1942. Back in WWII there was a big hullabaloo over some unidentified craft the air force tracked over L.A. The entire city went into a blackout and a lot of rounds were fired at “nothing”. If you’re feeling energetic you should research this and the other photos that play in the intro. Some pretty neat stuff to check out over at the W.A.T.C.H. website too. Anyways, I don’t know if that will tie into the movie at all, but I like how they are using historical UFO sightings on the website.
Battle: Los Angeles is slated to be released February 11. Hope to see you all there!
