It’s Monday and you know what that means! Another episode of the Intermission Podcast! On this week’s episode the Movieguys talk about the new working title for Star Wars (Rise of the Jedi), Parsecs, Ron Burgundy selling cars, Guy tries Skittles vodka, and an upcoming trip to the Haunted Hoochie in Pataskala, Ohio.
Star Wars!
The guys kick off the show with a discussion of the new working title for Star Wars Episode VII: Rise of the Jedi. This turns into the guys explaining to Guy how midichlorians work. Circling back to the topic, the Movieguys talk about George Lucas’s amount of involvement in the new film, and Craig confuses Lucas with Michael Bay. Stupid Craig! Then there is a long off topic conversation about Cloverfield. And, because Guy can’t wait any longer, Guy tries skittles vodka. It certainly wakes him up.
Then Josh talks about the new Star Wars Rebels tv series on one of the Disney channels which Josh doesn’t have because he sucks. This leads Craig into a lecture, which involves much bitching and complaining, about parsecs. As Guy already knows, a parsec is a measure of distance, not time. This relates to Han Solo’s Kessel Run record because of some black hole shit. Interestingly enough, a parsec is an actual unit of measure equal to 3.26 light years, and is used in real life space exploration. Google “parsec NASA” if you don’t believe me.
Ron Burgundy and After Earth
By the time you’re listening to this, the Movieguys all own Durango’s now that the Great and Powerful Ron Burgundy is doing Dodge commercials. For some reason, this lead to a review of After Earth. Guy and Corey doesn’t think it was “that bad” so they spoil it for everyone. Craig insults Will Smith and Guy tries to kill him, Craig, not Mr. Smith. Then Corey professes his dislike of a certain shot in the film, which becomes a classic Movieguys moment…
Other Things
Corey and Guy play the Walking Dead video game, which somehow nearly killed Guy. When a person such as Guy drinks too much Red’s Apple Ale and eats too many skittles, bad things happen. He braces himself for the projectile vomit that lied ahead, and then miraculously got better.
Josh is excited to find out that you can buy the parts to build a gun from the Umbrella Corporation. Guy would rather have a lightsaber… And finally, the guys talk about an upcoming trip to the Haunted Hoochie in Columbus, Ohio. Guy and Corey are super excited about it, but they are wetting their pants in sheer terror. Then there is a geography battle. And Craig has uncomfortably large nuts. And on that note, goodbye.
