Welcome to another fantastical episode of The Intermission Podcast. This week, episode 93. We start off the episode with an update on how everyone’s week went. Guy gets all worked up about football of the American variety. Corey assembled (success) and tested (failed) a pota…..er, produce accelerator. Craig and Josh had an evening where they did something known as “Netflix and chill”. Their selection of Netflix movies included a documentary about Boston crime boss Whitey Bulger, and the top notch movie Bad Asses on the Bayou.
Whitey Bulger Netflix Trailer
Craig and Josh watched the Whitey Bulger documentary on Netflix. Some folks spell it, Whitey Bulger, some spell it Whitey Bulgor and others go with Whitney Bulger. However you spell it, this guy was one bad dude. Whitey Bulger is one of the countries most infamous criminals, and this Netflix documentary outlines the murder trial that resulted from his crime spree.

Poltergeist Remake Trailer
Guy and Corey also watched the remake of the cult classic Poltergeist.
Keeping with the Netflix theme, Craig gets pretty excited about the announcement that they will be remaking the television series Lost in Space. As is tradition, everyone else gives no shits. But hey, at least we knew there was a robot that was all “DANGER WILL ROBINSON! DANGER!” That has to count for something….. We care more than we let on Craig, we just have a funny way of showing it.
We view a couple trailers. The first is Gods of Egypt. I believe we all decide pretty early on that this one is going to be a turd. The second is Central Intelligence. I think we might be up in the air on this one.
Also this week, Josh went to see Bill Nye give a presentation on science and climate change. After a short discussion about that, Josh then breaks the news to Corey that the entire first season of The Man in the High Castle has already been released on Prime Instant Video. Corey is crushed and enraged as usual. Speaking of Amazon Prime, Craig gets a pretty sweet deal when an item he ordered didn’t arrive by the date guaranteed. The lesson here: let Amazon know when they don’t deliver on their promises (pun intended).
On to list of our favorite movies release in the year 1993:
- Jurassic Park
- The Sandlot
- Enjoy as Guy reminisces about his plan to intentionally drown at the City Pool to get a kiss from a hot lifeguard, just like in the movie
- Mrs. Doubtfire
- Tombstone
After all that, we concoct a plan to test how long it would actually take make the change from dude to she-dude a la Mrs. Doubtfire. Hopefully this upcoming weekend we will have all the equipment necessary to transform Guy into……Gina.
As a bonus, something that came up after the show when everyone had gone their separate ways, Josh discovered a show he has recommended everyone watch. It is called Danger 5, and is available on Netflix. He will be harassing everyone else to watch this week so we can talk about it on the next episode, or the episode after that. If you’d like to be in the know you should watch it too! Hit us up on Facebook and let us know what you think!
