Ok ok! Who has seen all the other Die Hard movies? Well, I have, and I love them. Once again John McClane(Bruce Willis) has to become the hero and save the day in Live Free and Die Hard with a little help from his newfound sidekick the “Mac commercials guy”(Justin Long). In this new installment, McClane takes on cyber terrorists causing unbelievable havoc throughout the nation. This movie lived up to everything I hoped it to be! A good action movie needs lots of explosions and plenty of unique action scenes, fortunately, McClane made that happen once again. Yes, he does kill a helicopter with a car as you can see in the trailer. It is probably one of the most amazing action scenes I have ever seen. Trust me there are plenty more exciting action sequences in this movie to wet your adrenaline rushed appetite.
Like the other movies, John McClane adds a bit of rugged humor to the “war on terror” lol. Justin Long is a nice dynamic to the already humorous McClane character creating a sort of unique bond between him and the hero. I was surprised to see that it was rated PG-13. Don’t worry, it still is a good movie even though it doesn’t have an R rating. One thing I would say that I didn’t like about the movie was the fact it had no mention of any of McClane’s former run-ins with previous terrorists and mercenaries from the other movies. I don’t know how to explain it but it makes you feel special when a sequel mentions something from a previous event in one of the other movies. Basically, you can see this movie without even watching the other three Die Hards and never feel left out…..so I guess that’s a positive for some other individuals. Overall this action flick definitely rocked my movie-loving world. So check it out and expect a thrill ride!
