Lady and gentlemen! I’d like to personally congratulate you on being such a fine upstanding citizen of your respective country! You are clearly a shining example of what a decent human being should be. Why? Because you are listening to the finest podcast the internet has to offer of course! It’s The Intermission Podcast! And to top it all, Episode 100! We made it! They said we couldn’t, but we did! Thank you all for having faith in us!
We start off with an argument about what our 100th episode is going to be about, which I’m still not sure what was supposed to happen. But it friggin’ happened! And you’re here to enjoy it! Thank you! You’re swell! After we make no headway on what we’re actually going to do, we talk about the recently released movie from Rooster Teeth, Lazer Team, then it’s more about why Guy didn’t come up with a great plan for our 100th episode! Dammit Guy! Well, Craig is here to save the day! Huzzah! He has a surprise for everyone, and you’re just going to have to listen in to find out what it is.
In fact, I’m enjoying some Craig surprise right now! It’s why I’m shouting so much! Why can’t I hold my hands still??!! After we spend an amount of time enjoying Craig surprise, we get into a discussion about some of the movies we’ve seen in the past that were the biggest disappointments.
Down at the Silver Screen VII they’re putting on another video game tourney. This time it’ll be a little more organized, and there’s gonna be a pretty sweet prize for the team that emerges victorious. We however are not very confident in Team Movieguys ability to smite the competition. We’ve got a good coach though. Guy believes in us dammit! But seriously, we suck.
Somehow we get into the Fast and Furious franchise, and how we feel about all aspects of it.
Then we catch up on what we’ve watched since we last convened. Josh watched the neat-o movie Turbo Kid. Guy and Corey watched Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse, and The Visit. Josh and Guy Have been watching the new season of The X-Files. Josh pleases Corey when he announces he watched one of the first ever movies, Trip to the Moon. Corey watched a documentary about Kurt Cobain called Soaked in Bleach. Craig and Josh watched what they’re calling a reality movie called Nintendo Quest.
To finish up the episode, we talk about out favorite movies from the year 2000:
- Gladiator
- Space Cowboys
- Oh Brother Where Art Thou
- Castaway
Thanks again to all the great folks who have made this a really fun project for us. We can’t tell you how much it means. We have a blast getting together every week(ish) to share with you all the goofy crap we do. Thank you to the guys over at The Obsessive Viewer Podcast for letting us bounce ideas off of you. Thanks to our local theater Silver Screen VII for being so accommodating. Thanks to our produce Brittany for putting up with our shenanigans. And thank you listeners, for…you know….listening!
