I walked into this movie with low expectations. The opening scenes were very funny and entertaining so I stayed to watch the whole thing. It had a, as one of the other movies guys put it, “Napoleon Dynamite” feel to it. It wasn’t anything like it story-wise but it had that, this is gonna be hilarious, sense to the whole movie. The casting was excellent, I hadn’t seen a lot of the actors in this movie elsewhere. Usually, I tend to like the movies with non-mainstream actors but still have a lot of great funny scenes.
Andy Samberg is not a well-known actor, he has done Saturday Night Live for the past two years but who the hell watches that show anymore. I personally think he did an excellent job on this film, playing a wannabe stuntman, who wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps or so he thought. I think this story was fairly original and I enjoyed the movie thoroughly and recommend it those who enjoy a silly comedy and want to laugh quite a bit. If you are not into the stupid antics type of comedy you might want to stay away from this one but it is really up to you so do what you want.
