Jason Bourne is back on the big screen. We have been seeing tons of advertising for this “threequel” from Myspace to Google’s hunt for Bourne. But does it live up to the advertisements? We all know that sequels are never as good as the originals, and a third can’t be expected to be spectacular, but this action filled thriller is an excellent continuation of the series.
The movie has a very slow start, which I found very boring, but picks up with some intense action and fight scenes. Bourne starts having some flash backs which leads him to find what really made Jason Bourne. Bourne hops the globe in hopes of figuring out his past and fleeing his captors at the same time. Watch the movie closely, Bourne has many contacts and flash backs that contain hidden messages that will come into play later in the movie.
Overall this was a very enjoyable film, and the plot keeps you on your toes. If you haven’t seen the previous Bourne movies I greatly suggest you take the time to watch them before The Bourne Ultimatum. It would make the movie very difficult to follow if you haven’t seen the previous installments.
