This week on the Intermission Podcast, the Movie Guys (Craig and the Intern) discuss all sorts of things. Like I can’t even outline them all here, but here it goes: Adam the Woo, Ghost in the Shell, Water World, Jack Black, The Cable Guy, Dumb and Dumber, Superbad, Easy A, Zombieland, the best movies ever, Homefront, Full Metal Jacket, and on and on and on. Wow, we get a lot done while the children are away. Enjoy it, we sure did.
Guy’s Phone Call
This week before the show Guy called and said some words. No one could understand anything after “Hey buddy” but the point of the conversation was that no one was coming to record the podcast. Josh was also out with a severe sexually related injury so that just left Craig and the Intern, who I can assure you will never miss due to a sex injury.
Youtube
The pair starts off by talking about some youtube. Craig only has a few youtube channels: Adam the Woo, Idle Chatter, Good Mythical Morning, and Arduino vs Evil, but yet he still managed to get 60 episodes behind on Adam the Woo. Craig saw in some news that he got banned from Universal, so he had to watch all 60 episodes in one well spent day to catch up and see it. He thought it was a bit anticlimactic, which pretty much sums up Craig’s life.
Ghost in the Shell
This week before everyone bailed on the show, Josh, Guy, Corey, and the Intern went and watched Ghost in the Shell. Guy loved it, but everyone else, not so much. Josh texted into the show (his thumbs were not injured in his coital endeavors) saying quote: “Everything about it was incredible but the story.” That about sums it up according to the Intern who thought that it was over about half way through. There was this old guy though, and he killed some dudes. That’s about it though, wouldn’t really recommend it unless you had already planned to go watch paint dry or golf or something.
Movies and Such
So then somehow we get onto the subject of how many films the Intern hasn’t seen. There is a lot, by the way, so we spent the rest of the show going over them. Craig was shocked to find out that he hasn’t seen Waterworld, which as it turns out was Jack Black’s film debut. This leads us onto Jack Black, which Craig claims were the face of his generation, and that leads us The Cable Guy. Yet another movie that the Intern has not seen. That reminds Craig of Dumb and Dumber and the one joke that he has a problem with. It involved urine and a cop who drink it to determine its contents. Speaking of stupid cops, the Intern watched Superbad recently and liked it way more than he should have. Craig agreed that it was a good movie, but as he gets older he enjoy’s it less and less. Another perfect summary of his life, burn! That leads us to other Emma Stone films and we decide that Easy A is possibly her most delightful movie. And we find out that Craig doesn’t like Zombieland. I know, that movie is a gem. Stupid Craig.
Other Movies and Different Stuff
Speaking of Zombieland, there are abandoned amusement parks all over Ohio and we haven’t been to see them yet! There’s even one up by our very own Andrew from the Idle Chatter Show and he hadn’t even told us about it! Oh, Andrew. And for some reason, I have “hovercraft” written in my notes. I remember putting it there but I have no clue why. I guess I have to build a hovercraft now and see if that jogs my memory…
After hearing all of the movies that the Intern hasn’t seen, Craig looks up the IMDB list of the greatest movies ever. As it turns out, the Intern has seen them all! Craig then calls the list stupid and punches his computer screen. On the subject of great movies, the Intern hasn’t seen Homefront and Craig yells at him. Then the Intern reveals he hasn’t seen either the good or bad half of Full Metal Jacket and Craig yells at him. Then the Intern makes the biggest mistake of his young life and confesses that he hasn’t seen Forrest Gump, and not only does Craig yell at him but he gets a lot of angry texts from Guy. Threats were made, Nerf guns were loaded. And on that disturbing note (for the Intern at least), we end the most digressive episode of the Intermission Podcast yet. Tune in next week to see if Josh is recovered if Guy and Corey show back up and if the Intern is alive.
