Warner Brothers has officially launched their new DVD 2 BLU program. This new campaigned is aimed to give people who have previously purchased DVDs a chance to upgrade them to Blu-Rays. Of course, there is a small fee.
Here’s how it works:
- Go to http://www.dvd2blu.com
- Next, select the DVDs you wish to upgrade and add them to your cart.
- Pay and checkout.
- Mail WB your old DVDs (no cases, just the disc itself.)
- Wait 4-5 weeks and voila! A brand new Blu-ray.
Currently the prices range from $7.95-9.95 per disc, and a flat $4.95 for shipping. Also dont forget your expenses to mail in your old discs. These numbers don’t really seem like the whole program is worth it to me, but then again, I am quite happy with my DVDs.
There is also a limit of how many you can upgrade, 25, which isn’t much less than the available titles at this time.
Overall it appears a pretty cool program if you ask me, but it seems like too much hassle for me. Do any of your guys plan on upgrading?
