Warner Brothers launches DVD-2-BLU program

November 18, 2009 By Craig Layne Leave a Comment

Warner Brothers has officially launched their new DVD 2 BLU program. This new campaigned is aimed to give people who have previously purchased DVDs a chance to upgrade them to Blu-Rays. Of course, there is a small fee.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Go to http://www.dvd2blu.com
  2. Next, select the DVDs you wish to upgrade and add them to your cart.
  3. Pay and checkout.
  4. Mail WB your old DVDs (no cases, just the disc itself.)
  5. Wait 4-5 weeks and voila! A brand new Blu-ray.

Currently the prices range from $7.95-9.95 per disc, and a flat $4.95 for shipping. Also dont forget your expenses to mail in your old discs. These numbers don’t really seem like the whole program is worth it to me, but then again, I am quite happy with my DVDs.

There is also a limit of how many you can upgrade, 25, which isn’t much less than the available titles at this time.

Overall it appears a pretty cool program if you ask me, but it seems like too much hassle for me. Do any of your guys plan on upgrading?
