Welcome to episode 108 of The Intermission Podcast. We’ve got the whole gang back together this week for some tomfoolery as only the Movieguys can do it. I’m just now doing some maths in my head and realizing that we’re just past the two year mark. Sort of. I mean, it’s actually been closer to two and a half years if you’re going by time passed instead of episode released, but if you calculate for one episode a week, that’s 108 weeks, and there are 52 weeks in a year. So if we look at the equation:
we see that technically, it’s been two years and one month.
The Melt Challenge – Columbus Ohio
To kick things off, Craig talks funny, and we chastise Guy and Corey for not being here last week. Then we learn that the King’s are immortal. It’s true. We learned this on our outing to Melt Bar and Grilled in Columbus Ohio where Craig took on The Melt Challenge. We met friend of the show and all around swell person Vic “The Righteous Plunger” Miller. Vic was the 7th person to defeat the Melt challenge, so Craig thought it would be a good idea to have experience in his corner. Tune in to find out how Craig fared. Stay tuned later this week for a bonus supplemental episode chronicling the event!
Craig finally gets his prize for beating Guy in the Pizza Roll eating competition! And not a second too soon! Because of all the food Craig ate yesterday. He’s gonna be pooping sideways for a week.
Then as you probably already guessed, the conversation follows the natural flow of pooping to Star Wars. We find out everyone’s strategy for buying the new trilogy as it is released on home video. Which seems more gooder? Buy the films as they’re released, or hold out or years until the entire trilogy is released as a boxed set with a jillion special features and hours upon hours of behind the scenes footage?
This week Corey watched The Forest. Guy and his pops (HAPPY BIRTHDAY GARY!) watched some movies from the Redbox. First up is Black Mass. That’s Black……Mass. Craig. They also watched Creed, Hateful Eight, and some western starring Donald and Kiefer Sutherland. After hours of intensive googling, I’ve deduced the title of the movie is Forsaken. That, or Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Josh watched Big Trouble in Little China for the first time since he was but a wee lad.
We’re switching things up a bit this episode to allow for some spoiler talk at the end of the episode, so now we go over some of our favorite movies from the year 2008:
- Rolemodels
- There Will Be Blood
- WALL-E
- Step Brothers
- The Dark Knight
Now we’re all together under one roof, and we’ve all seen the most important movie of the week, Batman vs Superman. This is the part where we finally give our thoughts and opinions of what we saw. !!!!!THERE WILL BE SPOILERS DADGUMMIT!!!! I’m not going to go into details about what we spoiled, but we sure did do that thing. So enjoy.
