Blades of Glory

April 1, 2007 By Craig Layne Leave a Comment

Will Ferrell at his finest! I absolutely love Will Ferrell movies, he is an excellent comedian, and always keeps me laughing. He has recently starred in some great movies and Blades of Glory is no different. I was kind of worried that this movie would suck when I heard John Heder was co-starring. After Napoleon Dynamite I have trouble taking him seriously in any of his work. But much to my surprise, this movie was great.

Blades of Glory is a tale of two male ice skaters that are forced to pair up after a lifetime ban from skating. If it isn’t bad enough that they are two males they are also arch enemies from a long past on the ice. Ultimately their coach, Craig T. Nelson, is able to bring the pair together to become one of the greatest couples on the ice.

Some people will disagree with me about the fact that Will Ferrell is amazing. For those of you who do, give Blades of Glory a chance. I think that you will soon realize that Heder and Ferrell play very well off of each other in this clash of “Ice and Fire.”

Blades of Glory is rated PG-13 for crude and sexual humor, language, a comic violent image, and some drug references.
