This week on the Intermission Podcast, the Movie Guys talk about skittles, curing cancer, and Baby Driver. The Intern also recounts how he made a new friend while Craig complains about the X-Men franchise and superhero movies in general. This is why Craig never makes new friends. Enjoy!
Original Skittles Debate
Craig is shocked and appalled to find that Guy hasn’t gone out and bought our local stores supply of lime skittles. Guy then reveals that he doesn’t actually like lime skittles and has been lying all along about hating green apple. Then Corey reminisces about all of the skittle related pranks he has pulled on Guy.This brings up the topic of movie candies, and which is our favorites.
Moxie: Why now we don’t have cancer
The Intern opens up a bottle of Moxie soda from his recent trip to Jungle Jim’s. It is one of the oldest mass produced soda’s and apparently cures cancer. We all took a swig so we’re all good now. Then Craig complains because he doesn’t have cancer.
Speaking of Craig complaining about things, he get’s mad after watching X-Men Apocalypse. This is understandable though, especially because we didn’t see Hugh Jackman’s naked butt. This leads us to whether movies should keep re-telling origin stories. It is getting really old, how many times have batman’s parents died now?
Baby Driver
The guys went and watched Baby Driver this week and it was awesome. Before the show, some kid decided to make friends with the Intern while he was awaiting Josh and Corey. The Intern didn’t think anything of it until the kid followed him and Guy in and sat next to him. Everyone thought that it was the Intern’s cousin, but it wasn’t… Then we get sidetracked as Guy insults his fellow humankind. But back to Baby Driver, it was awesome! It is the action movie to beat, says us. The music was perfect, the driving was awesome, and so on and so forth.
Corey then tells us a story involving a man named Jeff, a fistful of salt, and a now blinded child. We then circle around to pizza, and this time it wasn’t even Guy that brought it up this time. This brings about the invention of the Canadian pizza.
How many times has Josh pooped his pants?
Josh answers the question that we have all been dying to know, how many times has he pooped his pants? Listen and find out. The answer may surprise you. Then the movie guys argue about coconuts, because why not? And the topic of the upcoming Christmas release of the Super Nintendo Classic comes up. Now, this was a matter for debate amongst our ranks, but the general consensus is that if you can actually get one, it might be worth getting.
And speaking of video games, Corey (or somebody, I really forget who now) brought up that there was a new Road Rash game out on steam and Craig made a mess in his pants out of pure excitement. What kind of mess we don’t know, but he had to excuse himself for a very long time…
