Listen now for your chance to join the MovieGuys group text! This week, Craig tries to teach Guy how to use a microphone, so after about an hour he gives up and starts the show. Then there is a 40-minute debacle with a projector, things just didn’t go well, so Craig gives up and starts the show over. So finally, welcome to this week’s episode of the Intermission Podcast! The Movieguys eventually discuss 2016 Comic-Con trailers and other stuff. Enjoy.
Comic-Con Trailers 2016
Guy had big plans this week to watch a bunch of Comic-Con trailers he has already seen up on the big screen, i.e. the projector and the wall. Since Guy did not inform anyone of his plan beforehand, Craig didn’t have the projector ready and in the process he waste an hour trying to get it going. This made Craig mad at Guy, but what else is new? The guys did get to talk about some trailers though, so enjoy.
Futurama live action fan film, need I say more? Craig is really excited and Guy doesn’t care.
Guy loses his shit over the new Wonder Woman trailer. Then Craig diverts him and Guy gets sad.
Corey talks about the Justice League trailer. Apparently Aquaman is in it, as well as other people. Then Craig diverts Corey, and Corey doesn’t care.
Guy mispronounces the Dr. Strange trailer. Josh doesn’t like wizards so obviously he doesn’t like it. This causes a divide amongst the Movieguys and blood is shed. Then Craig diverts the conversation and talks about Ghostbusters, which makes Guy mad.
Then Guy talks about Kong; Skull Island. Then tries to math out how tall King Kong is. Then Craig tells him that Kong is only 100ft. tall, so that’s settled…
Craig calls the King Arthur trailer stupid. Somehow this turns into a conversation about Hulk’s new costume for Ragnarok and Thor getting shaved.
Now that we got all that trailer nonsense out of the way, time for other stuff.
Other stuff
Craig watches a documentary called Superthief. It’s about a guy that pulls off a largest successful bank heist in history, then is screwed over by *spoiler alert* a plane ticket. This starts Craig on a quest of getting rid of some, umm, evidence, and he finds an envelope. The contents of which have been lost for years. It contains a film cell! Of the Simpsons Movie Craig has big plans about framing them and such. And then the conversation turns to naked women, so nothing interesting. And Guy loses his winds! Also, Josh crashes a plane with a laser.
Craig then talks about a new video game coming out called Sonic Mania and Guy tries to interrupt him before he starts. I guess that wouldn’t be called interrupting then, but who cares? Guy doesn’t understand Craig’s excitement over a new version of an old game, stupid Guy. Then people yell at each other and Guy changes the topic to turtles. Ninja turtles that is. There is a new Ninja Turtle game coming out and Corey isn’t excited. Can everybody just be happy for once?! Josh is excited for Kerbal Space Program. Everyone else is confused.
Lights Out
Some of the Movieguys (not Craig) watched Lights Out and Craig is upset he didn’t get invited. Guy liked the film and Josh thought it was silly. Corey didn’t have an opinion because he got pummeled by his girlfriend who he is now convinced is trying to kill him. Also, Craig and Josh invent a word: Brogettti. Check out Urban Dictionary for the definition, or you can just keep reading this. “Brogetti: An orgy involving mostly your male friends, or bros, in which all of your noodles touch. Bonus points for sauce”
BattleBots
Everybody watched BattleBots this week except Corey, and it was awesome. Tombstone kicked ass, and there was some amazing upsets. Guy was stoked to see Poison Arrow take down SOW in one solid hit. Warhead needs some bonus points for a upside down spinning flaming finishing blow to Complete Control. And Ghost Raptor got his second ass beating of the season by Corey’s very own Razorback. Josh and Corey are tied for last, Craig is on top of them, and Guy is in the lead.
