STAN LEE’S TOP 10 FILMS OF 2008..
10. HORTON HEARS A WHO
There is just something about a good cartoon that I love. Perhaps it is just the kid in me trying to reach out. Horton Hears a Who was my favorite animated flick of 08′.
9. ROLE MODELS
This is the second big surprise for me in 2008. I really expected Role Models to be a shitty, go no-where film. However, Role models was hilarious. I can’t wait for the DVD. The plot was a bit predictable, but hey, you can’t win them all.
8. THE ONION MOVIE
I watched it once from beginning to end without interruption. I wouldn’t recommend that. I would try watching a few skits here and a few skits there, and it is really enjoyable. The best thing about The Onion Movie is the fact that everything is tied together. No matter how random each skit can seem, it is still tied into the main story.
7. IRON MAN
There is nothing about Iron man that I didn’t like. The action and effects were amazing, and the cast just sealed the deal.
6. WANTED
To be honest most of the film I hated. The plot was absolutely ruined by the entire premise that this group of weaver’s were killing people based on what an ancient, textile weaving machine was telling them. So you may be asking if i hated it so much then why is it on my top ten films of 2008? SIMPLE! The ending. The last 3 seconds of the film made the entire movie worthwhile. If you have seen the film, you will understand.
5. DEATH RACE
I just can’t have a top ten list of films without mentioning my favorite actor Jason Statham. I loved everything about Death Race. It started a little slow, but the ending blew me away.
4. SEX DRIVE
Sex drive is one of those films that really surprised me. I really expected it to be another film that only had a few funny parts, and a very predictable story. However, the film quickly proved me wrong. I literally laughed from beginning to end.
3. RAMBO
I loved everything about this latest installment of the Rambo series. I really didn’t expect Sly to pull it off as well as he did, but he absolutely blew me away. For me this was the best action film of 2008.
2. THE INCREDIBLE HULK
The Incredible Hulk was lined up to be the biggest disappointment of 2008. After the previous film and all of the changes, and edits that were made, I had low expectations for The Incredible Hulk. After seeing the film, I wouldn’t change a thing. I am really looking forward to a sequel. (Best Stan Lee cameo ever)
1. THE DARK KNIGHT
I new TDK was going to be awesome, but I never expected it to be nearly as big as it was. TDK is by far the best Batman film to date.
