“You have to go through something to find out why you did it.” Kiefer Sutherland…
A compelling film with compelling music! Kiefer Sutherland, Jack Bauer of 24 takes on the challenges of managing and promoting the rock band, ” Rocco Deluca, & the Burden.” Can he do it without Chloe O’Brian?
I TRUST YOU TO KILL ME is a documentary style film that captures the behind the scenes action as Kiefer Sutherland’s record company goes in pursuit of the next great rock band.
From a source within the crew of 24 Kiefer hooks up with the unique rock band, “Rocco Deluca & the Burden.” Kiefer then decides to manage and promote the band as they tour through England, Ireland, Dublin, and Iceland. This is where the story unfolds as the band plays to mainly stiff uptight crowds, and overpriced venue’s. Kiefer doesn’t give a shit in this R rated film as we see him as more of a real person then an actor. He’s constantly going over the top to instill faith in his band as they deal with the problems of touring in a foreign land.
While some might not accept this kind of rock music right away, I’ll say that the music does grow on you! Rocco has some great vocals, and the band is right up there with him. Its interesting to see Kiefer having such a good time partying and promoting the band. The film doesn’t let up as “Rocco Deluca & the Burden” consistently put on some great shows.
There’s some amazingly candid footage that any fan of Kiefer Sutherland would find pretty interesting. From loosing his cell phone to walking around the streets of Ireland handing out free tickets to promote “Rocco & the Burden”, the film shows a different side of the tv star. There is also some very rare footage of Kiefer on the set of 24, as the documentary camera crew follow him onto the set during some of the filming of season 5.
Overall a very compelling look into the world of promoting and developing a new rock band.
With the added twist of having one of the biggest names in American television as your manager. I highly recommend I TRUST YOU TO KILL ME!
The dvd contains two “Rocco & the Burden” music videos as well as some downloadable music content.
