WHO WILL WATCH THE WATCHMEN?
News has broke that FOX has won a ruling in the case. LA. Federal court ruled on Wednesday that 20th Century Fox owns the distribution rights to The Watchmen. This ruling means that at the very least FOX owns the rights to distribute the motion picture.
Federal Judge, Gary Allen Feess, issued the surprise ruling, and indicated he would issue a more detailed ruling soon.
Could this effect the March 6th release date? Warner Brothers had no comment.
“SAG” CALLS FOR EMERGENCY MEETING TO BE HELD IN LOS ANGELES. ON JAN 12 – 13TH.
Could SAG be ready to call it off? United for Strength spokesman, Ned Vaughn expressed concerns about going ahead with the vote, given the growing numbers of SAG members such as Tom Hanks and George Clooney coming on the “No Strike” side.
Its unclear if the emergency board meeting will ultimately lead to a withdrawal of the Strike Authorization vote. It could also lead to replacement of the SAG negotiating committee.
