Iron Man, Batman, and Indiana Jones will battle it out for “Best Movie” during the upcoming 35th Annual Peoples Choice Awards.
It seems as if the Superhero genre has finally made its mark on fans accross the nation. This confirms that superhero films like The Dark Knight and Iron Man will clean up this awards season, (“I sure hope so !!!”)
Nominees for Leading Man, are Christian Bale, Brad Pitt, and Mark Wahlberg.
Nominees for Leading Lady, are Anne Hathaway, Kate Hudson, and Queen Latifah.
Nominees for Leading Male Comedian, are Steve Carell, Jim Carrey, and Adam Sandler.
Nominees for Leading Female Comedian, are Ellen DeGeneres, Whoopi Goldberg, and Tina Fey
CSI, Grey’s Anatomy, and House are nominated for “Favorite Tv Drama“.
Two and a Half Men, Ugly Betty, and Samantha Who are nominated for “Favorite Tv Comedy“.
Queen Latifah, will host the viewer voted awards show, that will air live on January 7th 2009, at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles… ^ Awards will be presented in over 40 new categories including, Favorite New Tv Drama, Talk show Host, Rock song on-screen match up, Favorite Superhero, Leading Lady, Tv Drama Diva, and more.

I like Iron Man as a character a hell of a lot more than I do Batman. But The Dark Knight was the far better movie. Iron Man was fun, it was good, clean fun. But The Dark Knight was a good movie no matter how you look at it. No matter how you chose to judge it. It’s got drama, comedy, romance, tragedy, insanity. It was and still is, after having seen it 15 times since it’s release, epic. I love it, and can’t wait to get the special edition DVD with the Batmobile/Batpod casing.
As for the show, thanks for the update 790. I might not have watched if you hadn’t posted this reminder. But I will watch it on mute, because Queen Latifah sucks. I’m not going to apologize for that either. She sucks.
Oh, and Steve Carrell in the comedy category. That man is a genius. He’s like the new Robin Williams. All the funny, and all the chest hair

Lol yeah I’m no fan of Latifah. Her name has a pompous oder to it…
However Its interesting to see the Superhero trend that’s slowly taking over the award shows,,, first it was the Scream Awards and now the Peoples choice has picked up the Superhero torch…
The next big Award show after the Peoples Choice will be the Critics choice,,, I will be writing a report on that in January,,,
