The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising

Well, here we go with another fantasy movie for kids. This movie had so much potential and yet it seems that all of these type movies are being made for kids these days. They are all PG and contain none of what the older fantasy fans want in the way of content. I say start making movies for everyone and not just kids. I know that these stories came from the children’s books but come on, I’m sure all of the fantasy fans that are adults out there have read these books too. I think the film makers need to stop trying to shorten the movies into 2 hours when it may take 3 whole hours to tell the story properly. I mean take the last Harry Potter, for instance, the film makers left out so much stuff that would have made the movie make a lot more sense to the people who have not read the book. I will get into that in another post, though. Back to my topic at hand, overall this movie has some cool special effects but nothing spectacular in my opinion. Well, I think that’s enough for now on that.
