This week on the Intermission Podcast, the Movie Guys talk about foreign movies as they review a movie from HBO called Brillantes. Then they discuss a zoo full of zombies in the Netflix movie Zoombies, before finishing off with Spiderman Homecoming. Lastly, the Intern updates us on his “garden of hell” and we discuss flea market finds. Please enjoy, because we don’t want to keep disappointing our listener.
Brillantes on HBO Review
Craig watched a movie this week: Brillantes. Now he couldn’t understand a word of it, but luckily for him, it was subtitled. Unfortunately, though, it was a bit poorly subtitled. Quite hilariously so in fact. They also had a pretty comical idea of Americans in general, apparently, we all wear cowboy hats. Good to know. Anyway, he said it was definitely worth the watch, though he never watches what the other guys recommend so….
Zoombies on Netflix
Also this week, Guy tries to pick Netflix movie. It only took him eight hours to pick one called Zoombies. As one might expect, it’s about a zoo for zombies. Well not really, it’s about a zoo that was overrun by zombies when a pesky little chimp gets infected and spreads it to everyone. Are all zombie apocalypses started by chimps? Guy claims that the directors of this film were drunk or high or both. Guy says that you must watch it with friends though, so now Craig won’t be able to.
The guys get into an argument over which video game is better: Banjo Kazooie, Mario, Sonic, or Earthworm Jim. They never did settle it, but did decide that you can do some pretty wicked stunts in GTA.
Craig Complains
Craig decides that since he hasn’t seen the new Spiderman movie that he should be the first to complain about it. He says that it is stupid to start over at the beginning and that Disney should have picked up where Sony left off with the Amazing Spiderman storyline. The Intern thinks that Sony should do theirs and Disney should do theirs and have multiple storylines like in the comics. Craig thinks that would confuse people, and by the look on Guy’s face, he might be right.
Craig also complains about Will Smith as Genie in the new Aladdin live action. Others do not disagree but are much more upset over Gilbert Godfrey not being Jafar.
Other Stuff
The guys then discuss their flea market finds over the weekend. They weren’t too impressive but at least it made them go outside. Speaking of outside, the Intern snapped a picture of his upcoming torture challenge for Craig and Corey, his Carolina Reaper plant. So watch out for that in the coming months, you’ll be able to tell which episode it is by all the screaming. In the mean time, check out the time we ate red habanero peppers.
