My Name Is Bruce - Trailer
My Name Is Bruce, Starring Bruce Campbell, Ted Ramey, and Ted Ramey.
I have watched the trailer twice now and I really just don’t know what to say. I am really hoping you guys can say it for me. It just looks so ridiculous it can’t possibly be good. But then again, it looks just ridiculous enough to be awesome!

Can’t see it til tomarrow.
:-(
But I’m sure its gonna be funny…
This is Bruce Campbell we are talking about here! Bruce fing Campbell!!! Expect a fair amount of ridiculousness from him. That is the point, don’t take him seriously. He obviously doesn’t take him seriously. This movie is supposed to be this way. He is making fun of himself as much as anything else. And I admire that! He is actually driving cross country in his Lincoln to personally introduce the film to the fans, then stick around for a little Q & A. The man is pure awesomeness!
Bruce’s movies are usually good or bad based on how you feel about the guy. If you are a fan of Bruce and his style, you probably think everything he has done is genious. If not, you probably think a fair amount of his stuff is silly and not funny.
Bruce Campbell, you can do no wrong in my book! You are my hero!
Almost forgot. I’ve got a great Bruce Campbell story. It’s his personal response to everyone who thinks all his movies stink.
During one of the Q & A sessions following a showing of My Name is Bruce, Bruce had the following to say to the fans who were shouting out the names of their LEAST favorite Campbell movie (this was done at Bruce’s request, btw)
–”You think you’re all so smart? You are the studio exec, I’m going to pitch a movie. I’m Frank Marshall. I’ve produced all of Steven Spielberg’s movies. Interested? Okay, I’ve got a book written by Michael Crichton. I’m going to get John Patrick Shanley, the Academy Award-winning writer of Moonstruck, to adapt it. It’ll be shot by Allen Daviau, who did E.T Will you make this movie?” (Of course, they all would)
“Well congratulations! You just made Congo”
Isn’t that great? You could go in with a team that doesn’t know the meaning of the word “failure” You could have an amazing script idea, and talented people would be involved. But you would still end up with a crappy movie! At least Bruce acknowledges what he is and what he does. He mocks it, and to me, that is hilarious!
Campbell is a legend.
Deadpool, have you seen, “Comic Book the Movie”?
That looks terrible. That isn’t even worth the DVD it will go straight to.
@Atomic Popcorn
I totally see how you would think that. Most of Bruce Campbell’s movies are made like that. They really are meant for a specific audience. But it is playing in select theaters, being introduced by Bruce himself.
I think that as many people can’t stand the guy and his movies, there are the same amount if not more that absolutely love the guy. You’ve got to at least appreciate the fact that he knows who/what he is and has the sense of humor to mock what he has become. Alot of B movie actors are wannabe A list actors who wait there whole lives for a break. Bruce found a niche, something that he is good at. He is one of the few B movie actors who is proud of being a B movie actor. I respect that.
Hilarious !!!!
Of course its campy. Its Bruce CAMPbell.
