*#*#*WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD*#*#*
So apparently Michael Bay is doing horror now. This movie is not the typical “Jason” movie. With Mr. Bay at the helm there is lots and lots of action. The first thing I noticed was that Jason is way more animated than the previous portrayal of him. Its not a bad thing, just different from the original character. In my opinion, this is a fairly decent re-make. They didn’t start from the very beginning, although there is a little history lesson in the intro. I think this was a good idea, I didn’t want them to start off a new series with Mrs. Voorhees as the killer because I didn’t like her as well. Story aside this was a great slasher film. The gore was there from beginning to end and the fans of horror had something to cheer about with the elaborate ways that Jason kills his victims. There were a couple moments when I thought I was watching some other horror film though. One in particular was where Jason shot the guy driving the boat with a compound bow. Jason usually sticks with the machete for his kills. This was not my favorite Jason movie to date but it was a pretty good horror movie all in all and I will be getting it on DVD to check out the extras. For all of the people out there who like nudity there is plenty to be seen in this one. I know some people I know just went to watch it because it was rated R. I recommend to all horror fans and fans of the “Friday the 13th” movies.

Yeah, it ended in true Friday the 13th style with a hint that there will be another one. In fact, ending shot looked really familiar but I can’t remember which one it is, I think maybe part 2.

of course the are going to make a sequel. Even if they did not leave it open for one, they will still make a sequel and many more after that. Why you may be asking Metallicat?? Well, its simple, they made 10 other films and its a cash cow! Studios love to milk the audience, and even if people boycott or stop filling the seats, they will still put out shitty films, because its a Brand. Of coure this IMO.

the sooner everyone realises that the studios are just out to make money the better. movies are just their product to sell and as long as people are buying tickets there will always be sequels and remakes.

Can’t wait to see Star Wars Episodes I-III revisted, presented in the way Lucas had originally envisoned it!
Lets not forget about a sequel to V For Vendetta, where Zombie V goes on a militant rampage through Downtown London searching for Evie, unaware that she grew her haor back and is encaged to her Lesbian Lover Josephine.
Or even Better Batman Begins….again. This time around a reboot on the reboot of the reboot of the reboot… well you get the picture.
And for my finale, LOTR: The Muscial finally makes its way to the big screen, catch Kelly Clarkson fresh off Justin to Kelly 2: Please just kill me, as Arwin and Beyonce takes a spin as a Black woman playing a white man playing a short hobbit creature Bilbo Baggins. And Finally Bill Murray as Gandalf in his forst on screen musical performance.
But seriosly Jon You are correct, everything i know and love, to be raped and pillaged by the money making machine that is Hollywood.

Speaking of Zombies, for anyone who is interested (and I will put this on the rundown too) I heard that Marvel Animation is planning on doing a Marvel Zombies animated flick. They’d work with Lionsgate. I can’t confirm any of that, so I won’t post it, but if it gets confirmed I’ll write something up.
If you’ve never heard of the Marvel Zombies, I’d highly recommend it. Its very funny and well done, featuring most of if not all of the roster of heroes and villains. It’s awesome, and you’ll like it I guarantee it. Bruce Campbell as Ash vs a hoarde of Marvel Zombies? Zombie Spiderman, Zombie Iron Man, Zombie Venom, Zombie Wolverine, you get my drift. How cool is that?
Side note, head on over to youtube and watch the fan made marvel zombies video. It’s pretty funny.

Let us not forget Michael Bay did The Amityville Horror with Ryan Renolds. That too was a remake but one for the better if you ask me. He did a good job with Friday the 13th I give him a solid B+! I mean who can resist Tig Ole Bitties? And Jason wasn’t a complete dumb ass he had some smarts to him. After Transformers Revenge of the Fallen no one will be able to touch Mr Bay for awhile, so keep sipping that Haterade while you can bitches!

Correct me if I am wrong, But Bay did not direct this one or Amnityville, but was a producer on both films. So shouldn’t any feedback and critisim be directed at the actaul directors?

“So apparently Michael Bay is doing horror now.”
He has been producing horror films through Platinum Dunes since it was created in 2001.
“This was not my favorite Jason movie to date but it was a pretty good horror movie all in all.”
A pretty good horror movie. Hmmm. Did you enjoy the remakes of Prom Night and Black Christmas as well?
“I recommend to all horror fans and fans of the “Friday the 13th” movies.”
AHAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAhHHAAAAA. R U kidding me? Horror fans watch films like Inside and The Midnight Meat Train. Not trite garbage like this. Lol. That was a good one Bear. “Dead by dawn”
@Ashley. I agree with you completely. This movie was a BIG disappointment.
@Bear. I explain in my review why it sucked in detail.
@Robert Paulson. You gave it a B+? What film were you watching?
“Tig Ole Bitties” Funny and they were nice, Christ.
@Metallicat79. It should. The actual director was Marcus Nispel.

It happens to all of us from time to time. But you man’d up and apologized, and I’ve got a lot of respect for you for that. Good deal.
One time back in high school, a friend of mine was telling me about his favorite movie. It turned out that the movie happened to be one of my least favorite films of all time (at the time) I don’t even remember the movie now, just the situation, but I went OFF on that movie. Reamed the guy for even finding something enjoyable about it. Called the guy stupid. Immediately regretted it.
I think, from now on, we should start calling things like that “pulling a Christian Bale.”
