Movie Memorabilia

Hello all and welcome to the inaugural edition of the MovieGuys Movie Memorabilia post, where I will show you all a couple of items for you to drool over.  The rules are simple:  Any item, any price, as long as it is related to movies in some way.  I think this will be a fun little escape, as most of us are gluttons for punishment and enjoy drooling over things we likely can’t afford.   Let us begin!

predatorcollectibleFeatured Item: Predator Life-Size Bust    Film Franchise: Predator

This unmasked Predator bust is Life-Size, 1:1 scale, and every inch of it is freaking awesome.  At one point in time, I’d have said that I think the Predator wearing it’s mask was far cooler than an unmasked one.  But taking a quick look at this bust would convince anyone that the unmasked Predator is one of the most bad-ass movie monsters of all time.  I’d love to place this bust somewhere in my living room where it could scare the hell out of everyone who comes into my house.  Check out the product description below, and take a closer look at this wicked cool item at Sideshow Collectibles Inc.  It’s all yours for $899.99

“Sideshow is proud to partner with Amalgamated Dynamics Inc (ADI) to bring you the Aliens Vs Predator: Requiem prop replica and maquette line. The line features some of the most advanced weaponry from the Predator’s arsenal, as well as reproductions of the creatures from the film. Each prop replica and maquette is an exact reproduction of the original prop or design sculpture, as created by ADI for the film.

The Predator Life-Size Bust is cast in high-quality polystone and fiberglass, and features soft polyurethane dreadlocks that are individually cast and attached to the bust. The piece is detailed with all the gruesome features of a Predator who has encountered the acid-blooded Xenomorphs many times before, complete with scarring, dead eye, and a missing mandible. Each piece is hand-cast, hand-finished, and hand-painted to exacting standards, then individually hand-numbered.”

ghostridercollectibleFeatured Item: Ghost Rider on Throne   Film Franchise: Ghost Rider

Ghost Rider may not have been the best movie in the world, but that doesn’t change the fact that Ghost Rider is a freaking awesome character.  What’s not to love about a guy with a flaming skull for a head riding a motorcycle powered by Hellfire and whipping chains???  If you are  a fan of Ghost Rider, the movie or just the character, and you happen to have lots of money, you might want to look into picking up this Sideshow Collectible exclusive.  This polystone statue comiquette is straight from the cover of the Ghost Rider Finale #94, and it just doesn’t get any cooler than this unless this statue had 26 points of articulation!  This would be a fine addition to any rich collector’s “trophy case.”  Check out the product description below, and if your morbid curiosity get’s the better of you, you can take a closer look here.  If you win the lottery, you could buy this for me, and it would only cost you $199.99

“Sideshow Collectibles and Marvel Comics are proud to present the Ghost Rider on Throne Comiquette! Straight from the cover of the Ghost Rider Finale #94, this expertly sculpted Comiquette depicts Ghost Rider as the ruler of the Nether Realm. Cast in high-quality polystone, hand finished and hand painted to exacting standards, the Ghost Rider on Throne Comiquette is a museum quality piece, ready to take a place of honor in your own hall of heroes.”

I could spend an entire year’s salary on the Sideshow Collectibles, Inc website.  They have so many awesome collectibles, from statues to figures to life-size busts, they have a ton of freaking awesome merchandise.  Unfortunately for me, all of their merch is very pricey.  These are truly unique items for upper-end collectors.  Some of their finer products could cost the average comic/sci-fi geek an entire paycheck.  But like a car accident, I just can’t help but stare.  I’m fixated on the beauty, the quality of the items here.  Maybe one day I’ll win the lottery or go insane and just rob a bank, but until that day comes, I’m left with but one option:  All I can do is stare, and dream about my favorite Movie Memorabilia.

The Predator design is by far one of the best designs for a “monster/alien” especially if you look at the fact that it was designed in 1986 or 1987. Amazing, Stan Winston was the man!

Thought I would share a site with everyone. The site is PREMIERE PROPS and they have a lot of clothes, replicas, and props from films…for a “price”. They even have Chev Chelios’ Cleaver from Crank, for the low low price of $1,199.99

Do they take instalments payable at $10/month over the next few years?

I know,it’s really amazing. Stan Winston did amazing things, a truly talented person.

Thanks for the link JD. I’ve actually been there before, and that site plus sideshow collectibiles are where I’m going to get the bulk of my selections for this post. There is some really cool stuff there, really cool.

Man, I wish they had some sort of lifetime payment plan. I’d totally do the 10 bucks a month for 15 years, it’d be so worth it!

Should they make a sequel to District 9?
