Today we have gotten our first look at Roland Emmerich’s new film 2012.
It looks to me like 2012 is going to be yet another CGI mess by Emmerich. The overall idea for the film is awesome, as I always like the “end of the world” type films, but let’s hope that 2012 doesn’t turn out to be another CGI disaster like 10,000 BC.

Ok Stan. I’ll give you 10000 B.C That movie sucked all kinds of rear. But I’ve really enjoyed some of his other work. “The Day after Tomorrow” and “Independence Day” were fun movies. They weren’t great by any stretch of the imagination. They shouldn’t win any awards. But they were fun. I love watching these disaster type movies. There is just something curious about them. I can’t get enough of the Statue of Liberty facing imminent disaster. I want to see people running, scream, but to no avail. Why do they run, by the way? There is a giant friggn’ tidal wave rising above them, what good does that do? Just sit there and laugh man. Something, but run?!? Make a realistic disaster movie Emmerich! Show me some lazy asses who just stand and watch it hit the fan!!!

Yeah I think the tidal waves are caused by a massive Pole Shift in the magnetic field of the Earth…(Emmerich loves tidal waves)
If I recall this film is based on Whitley Streibers latest sci-fi novel, “2012, The War For Souls”…

Tidal Waves!! Earthquakes!! Snowstorms!!
Emmerich sure can destroy stuff. Not good movies, but entertaining for me. You’d think he’d get bored with doing the same thing over and over though.
