You have got to check out this teaser for A.D., a CG animated zombie flick/horror/adventure. The teaser was written/created by Haylar Garcia, directed by Ben Hibon (Codehunters) and produced by Bernie Goldmann (300) and Tarik Heitmann.

The teaser doesn’t reveal much of a plot, but more of an idea. The new look of the animated zombies is simply incredible. I can’t wait to see more as the storyline, and characters progress. Personally, I see HUGE potential for a possible video game, and predict that a possible film, or video game, will be thoroughly bad-ass.

Ben Hibon has a pretty good resume behind him. His short film Codehunters is a festival darling and his animation work on the video games Killer7 and Heavenly Sword are standout material. But what impresses me is that they are using this teaser trailer as a way to build momentum (internet buzz) for financing. I hope it works, because from what I've seen from Mr. Hibons so far is impressive and worth paying to see in the future.

You are absolutely right Chris, using the teaser for leveraging financing is killer! Companies eat up anything viral, and talk about a great proof of concept. I couldn't imagine a better way to prove to a potential investor that the film would be a hit.
