Here’s the latest top stories that can’t wait for the holidays.
WHO WILL WATCH THE WATCHMEN?
News has broke that FOX has won a ruling in the case. LA. Federal court ruled on Wednesday that 20th Century Fox owns the distribution rights to The Watchmen. This ruling means that at the very least FOX owns the rights to distribute the motion picture.
Federal Judge, Gary Allen Feess, issued the surprise ruling, and indicated he would issue a more detailed ruling soon.
Could this effect the March 6th release date? Warner Brothers had no comment.
“SAG” CALLS FOR EMERGENCY MEETING TO BE HELD IN LOS ANGELES. ON JAN 12 – 13TH.
Could SAG be ready to call it off? United for Strength spokesman, Ned Vaughn expressed concerns about going ahead with the vote, given the growing numbers of SAG members such as Tom Hanks and George Clooney coming on the “No Strike” side.
Its unclear if the emergency board meeting will ultimately lead to a withdrawal of the Strike Authorization vote. It could also lead to replacement of the SAG negotiating committee.
“SAG” continues to insist that it needs the Authorization vote, which requires the approval of 75% of members to go forward with a strike…
This news is very encouraging as it seems cooler heads are prevailing over at SAG world headquarters.

I have a good feeling “Watchmen” won’t be delayed.
The lawsuit isn’t settled yet. FOX and WB work together all the time, I’m sure a deal is going to be made… :-)

Dude! How did I miss this? Damn, the ship looks great! I saw the inside of it at comic con and Zack Snyder and CO really worked their asses off getting it to be the spitting image of the comic’s ship.
And that is true, FOX and WB do work together all the time, I just wish it were entirely WB’s thing tho considering DC is a branch of that company.
No SAG strike!

It would surprise me to see Watchmen being delayed. It looks real good, and I think they’d be happy to just sit back and take a cut from the huge bank that movie is going to make.
If they strike, Iron Man 2, Thor, and Captain America will all probably suffer. It could be real bad for the expected money makers of 2010.
